Norah is here!

Norah arrived two weeks ago and is so sweet and perfect! We are totally in love! A photographer friend (we're both members of the Association of Arizona Wedding Photographers) offered to take some newborn photos of her and we jumped at the opportunity.

It turns out that photographing your own newborn is seriously tough. We were exhausted and we both got a cold the week we had her (Norah is fine, just Daddy and myself suffered) so we didn't get to take any pics until later in the week. We'll post more pictures of her soon. For now here are a few images that were styled and photographed by Karen Sophia Photography.

Jillian Turns One!

This was my last session before our baby girl will arrive! I can't even believe I just typed that. It's just so crazy! Our friends were visiting with their little girl, so we took the opportunity to have a 1-year photo session with sweet Miss Jillian (see her newborn session here). We tried to capture a few of the milestones she has hit this year (sitting up, teething, standing, etc..) and even got one with her birthday present, Olive (the sweetest and most patient little puppy you'll ever meet). 

Here are some of my favorites. This little girl is so cute I could have posted 20! I guess it's good to exercise some self restraint before we bombard you with pics of our newborn. :)

First attempt at eating a cupcake. I don't think her sweet tooth has come in quite yet. ;) 

Great West Valley Venue

Peoria Pines is a golf course near the 101 and Northern that also functions as a wedding and event venue. We met their incredibly friendly wedding coordinator, Nadine, and decided to have a model shoot to show off what they have to offer as a wedding venue. We're excited to be shooting a wedding there in October, but thought that we'd get a jump start on things and hopefully get some updated images so Brides and Grooms can see the potential this place has.


The day we scheduled to shoot, a gigantic dust storm rolled in right as we entered their parking lot. We all made the best of it and worked as quickly as we could. It was a challenge, but not unexpected for this time of year I suppose. Caitlin and Greg were troopers and totally stuck it out while it was miserable outside (incredibly hot with humidity and blowing dust... it was gross out!).

We haven't formerly announced this yet on the ASV page, but as many of you already know... we're expecting a baby girl! We're about 6 weeks away from meeting her (if she's on time) and we can't wait. This has been the fastest year of my life! I thought pregnancy would be long and drawn out, but it has really flown by!

We went to Flagstaff earlier this month to get away from the heat and have a little maternity session. The weather was cool and gloomy the entire weekend.  Not ideal for what we had in mind, but I think we made it work. 

Let me just say that editing and processing photos of my pregnant self has been strange. I really wanted the experience of being photographed in this situation because we photograph other expectant Mommies, but it was definitely different to be that "exposed" (hello bare belly!), even with Andrew as my fabulous photographer.

Ballerina Birthday Girl

Rosalyn is our youngest niece and she is one of the best ballerina's in the valley (in our humble unbiased opinion ;) )! She needed some head shots done for audition photos, so we met at her school and snapped a few of the specific poses she needed for her application. Isn't she gorgeous?! The last image was actually just a test shot from when she helped me with a different shoot recently. She's such a natural! 


Today is her birthday and she's out of the state attending the ballet intensive these pictures were used for! We miss her, but can't wait to hear all about her adventures!

Sweet Boy!

To say that we're behind on blogging is an extreme understatement! It's time to get caught up so we'll be posting a few blogs soon, but they'll probably be a little out of order. Better late than never I suppose....


We recently got to visit with this adorable family and spend a morning photographing them. It was great to catch up (see their wedding here) and spend time with their sweet baby boy... soon to be big brother! It's crazy how time flies! He wasn't too keen on sitting still (what 1.5 year old is, really?), so we let him explore his surroundings and chased him around a little, but it worked!

Ron & Natasha
