Ron & Natasha

We recently spent some time downtown with Natasha and Ron for their engagement session. We had a great time finding some fun areas to photograph them and getting to know them better! We can't wait for their wedding this Fall! Here are some of our favorites from their session.

Ms. Rockette

We spent a morning this past weekend photographing this beautiful young lady. She's auditioning for the Rockettes this May and needed some new images for her application. She totally could pursue modeling during the down season (if there is a down season for these talented ladies?) if she wanted to, don't you think? Here are some of my favorites from her session.

Aubrey Jane {9 months}

This little valentine is 9 months old! We thought it would be cute to incorporate a few little hearts to represent the season and she thought it would be fun to eat them! We should have thought about that ahead of time, but even when she's chomping down on a piece of felt she's still adorable! Especially in this sailor dress and ruby shoes!

Meet Francesca!

I don't believe we've introduced Francesca... our Vespa. She's fantastic! When we originally thought about buying a scooter, my mind of course went to a bright blue or orange scooter (and it still does sometimes), but Andrew wanted something darker (we're working on him digging the baby blue) and he won. We found Francesca and just couldn't pass her up!

We recently bought some new photography equipment and took Francesca out for her first photo shoot. Before you get to the pics, let me just say that yes, we always wear helmets and protective gear. Just wanted to clear that up before we get any emails (or angry calls from our parents).

Baby Mia!

This sweet girl was just over 3 weeks when we met for her newborn session and she did really well! A lot of photographers get nervous when a newborn is over 10 days old because they tend to be a little more alert and fight being posed for pictures, but I think it doesn't  matter all that much. If a baby doesn't want to be in a certain pose, they're not going to cooperate as much as you'd like, whether they're 5 days old or 5 weeks old! Anyway, Mia was fantastic. We worked with the positions that she seemed to favor and she rewarded us by being the cutest little sleeping newborn in all of Phoenix! The tutu was just beyond adorable, too!

Year End Contest!

This year was AMAZING! We met and photographed the nicest couples and families, shot at some fantastic locations and laughed... a lot! Thank you all for your support and for trusting us to capture these moments! 


And to sum it all up... here are some of our favorite images from 2011 and our first ever contest! It was incredibly hard to narrow it down so I let the feedback we have received decide which one's to include. 


You can vote two ways:

2. Like A Sophisticated View Photography and the photo you choose on facebook. The photo will be in the album "Best of 2011" and only "likes" in this album will be tallied.
